I noticed that CloudPanel doesn't include built-in email hosting functionality. Is there a specific reason why CloudPanel decided not to support emails? Also, what alternatives do you recommend for managing emails alongside CloudPanel?

CloudPanel intentionally doesn't provide email hosting due to performance reasons. Our goal is to keep CloudPanel lightweight, clean, and highly optimized for your applications.

Managing email is a resource-intensive and complex task. Mixing email services with application hosting can negatively affect the overall performance and security of your applications.

Instead, we recommend using specialized external email providers. These services are reliable, cost-effective (often less than $1 per user/month), and offer enhanced security and management features.

Recommended External Email Providers:

  • Zoho Mail(Free with limitations, POP3 and IMAP available in paid plans)
  • Google Workspace(Our top recommendation)
  • Amazon WorkMail
  • Microsoft 365
  • GoDaddy Email

Self-Hosted Alternative:

  • Mailcow: A free, dockerized email solution. You can easily set up Mailcow alongside CloudPanel by following our Mailcow setup guide.
